We are ready for another summer of fun and learning! Camp Chris Stone 2017 is full and we are harvesting bamboo for making fishing poles, looking over all kinds of materials for new adventures in learning and examining the tide charts to figure out what we will be able to see each day as we discover the incredible salt marshes of Wrightsville Beach, explore the world of oysters, mussels, mud snails, fiddler crabs and snowy egrets, and go marsh mucking while learning to fish, crab, clam and pull a seine net. Camper and staff alike will get dirty as we seek adventures. With a program devised by Cissie Brooks, environmental science educator at Wrightsville Beach Elementary School, this is always a great experience for all.
All 3 camp sessions filled within 2 days of opening registration. We love that so many families want to be involved with this program. We find it hard that we cannot accommodate more students at this time without affecting the quality of the children’s experience. Bear with us as we grow.or call 910-256-2569 to receive the most current information! Follow the Camp on Facebook
Camp Chris Stone is dedicated to the memory and ideals of long-time Wrightsville Beach resident, Chris Stone, who spent countless hours both as a child and as an adult enjoying the marvels of the marshes.
