We are getting ready for another summer of fun and learning! Look for registration information in early February 2018.
Camp Chris Stone 2017 was another stellar year! We made fishing poles out of bamboo, had all sorts of new adventures in learning, and discovered the incredible salt marshes of Wrightsville Beach, exploring the world of oysters, mussels, mud snails, fiddler crabs and snowy egrets. We went marsh mucking while learning to fish, crab, clam and pull a seine net while both campers and staff alike got dirty as they went seeking adventures. With a program devised by Cissie Brooks, environmental science educator at Wrightsville Beach Elementary School, this is was, as always, a great experience for all.
Last spring all 3 camp sessions filled within 2 days of opening registration. We love that so many families want to be involved with this program. We find it hard that we cannot accommodate more students at this time without affecting the quality of the children’s experience. Bear with us as we grow.or call 910-256-2569 to receive the most current information! Follow the Camp on Facebook
Camp Chris Stone is dedicated to the memory and ideals of long-time Wrightsville Beach resident, Chris Stone, who spent countless hours both as a child and as an adult enjoying the marvels of the marshes.
