Prayer Flag Ladies Night

LADIES NIGHT – HAND-DYED PRAYER FLAG

Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom.  The Tibetans believe the prayers will be blown by the wind to spread good will and compassion; therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all.  By hanging flags in high places outside, the wind carries the blessings depicted on the flags to all beings.  The prayers of a flag become a permanent part of the universe as the images fade from exposure to the elements.

Here is your chance to create your own beautiful and colorful blessings to release into the universe!

WHEN: Thursday, April 7, 2022, 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Bordeaux Cottage, Historic Square, Salisbury Street, Wrightsville Beach

WHAT: You will be provided with pre-cut cotton panels to design as you choose using a faux batik technique and hand cut fabric appliques.  Once completed, you will string them together so that you can hang them inside or outside to spread joy and positive energy.  All supplies are provided. You will be working with water-based glue and paint.
